On Thursday, 8 January, Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and Southern Madagascar visited the offices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia in Perth, located in Dianella. Bishop Prodromos was warmly received by Bishop Elpidios of Perth.
Bishop Prodromos was accompanied by Archimandrite Makarios Souris, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Saint John the Forerunner in Forrestfield.
During the visit, the hierarchs engaged in a fruitful and brotherly discussion on various matters pertaining to their respective dioceses.
Bishop Elpidios hosted morning tea at the Perth offices in honour of Bishop Prodromos, who is visiting Australia on the occasion of the forthcoming Name Day celebrations of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
Thereafter, Bishop Prodromos visited the Church of Saint Nektarios, situated on the grounds of the Perth Diocese, where he venerated the holy relics of Saint Nektarios.
Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and Southern Madagascar will also join Bishop Elpidios of Perth at the annual Epiphany celebrations at Matilda Bay, scheduled to take place on Sunday, 11 January.
