On Sunday, November 10, with the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Bishop Elpidios of Perth presided over the Orthros and Divine Liturgy at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Perth. During his sermon, Bishop Elpidios offered a thoughtful reflection on the day’s Gospel reading about the Good Samaritan, reminding the congregation that Jesus Christ is the ultimate Good Samaritan for each of us.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Mytilenean Brotherhood of Western Australia organized a procession of the holy icon of Archangel Michael. This event, accompanied by the traditional Artoklasia service, marked the recent feast of the Synaxis of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
Following the service, parishioners gathered in the church hall for morning tea hosted by the Brotherhood. Bishop Elpidios took this opportunity to convey Archbishop Makarios’ love and blessings to all attendees, strengthening the bonds of faith and community.
