On Tuesday, August 12, with the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Elderly Care Center of the Greek Community in the suburb of Dianella, Perth, in the presence of Bishop Elpidios of Perth.
The celebration of the Divine Liturgy gave the elderly residents of the Center the opportunity to receive Holy Communion in anticipation of the upcoming major feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos.
The Bishop addressed the residents, staff, and families gathered in the Center’s prayer hall, emphasizing the importance of unity in Christ through the great Sacrament of the Divine Eucharist. He offered his felicitations to those celebrating their name day this Friday and conveyed to all the blessings and paternal love of Archbishop Makarios.
