The Greek School that belongs to the Community of the Transfiguration of the Saviour in Coventry, Central England, operates with great success.
The school consists of children mainly of Greek Cypriot descent and is organized into classes according to the students’ age and level of Greek comprehension.
On Saturday, February 12, the Bishop of Melitini Maximos, addressed the students, emphasizing the need for systematic study of Greek poets and the need to be well- versed in modern Greek literature, in order to familiarize with the language and cultivate the Greek way of thinking.
He also referred to the Holy Gospel of Sunday and the need for daily study of the sacred texts by all kinds of people.
