With the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Synaxis of All Saints of Larissa was celebrated on Sunday, November 3, at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in the Sydney suburb of Kogarah, in the presence of a large number of devout believers.
Orthros and the Divine Liturgy were celebrated with great splendor by Bishop Christodoulos of Magnesia, the Hierarchical Head of the Church.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the congregation took part in a heartfelt procession of the Holy Icon of All Saints of Larissa.
The procession was organized by the NSW Pan-Thessalian Federation “Karaiskakis,” highlighting the strong bonds between the church and the Thessalian community of Sydney, especially as both Bishop Christodoulos and Fr. Athanasios Giatsios hail from the city of Larissa.
In his speech, Bishop Christodoulos conveyed the paternal wishes and blessings of Archbishop Makarios to Asterios Tsintzas, president of the Panthessalian Association of NSW, along with the association’s committee and all its members.
The Bishop expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the association for its unwavering dedication to the parish and its valuable contribution to the celebration of this feast.
