With the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, on Monday, 24 August, the feast of the Translation of the Holy Relics of Saint Dionysios of Zakynthos, Bishop Christophoros of Kerasounta, Chancellor of the Holy Archdiocese, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Saint Dionysios in Central Mangrove, New South Wales, near the city of Gosford.
During the splendid celebration, Bishop Christophoros was assisted by clergy from Sydney, while among those in attendance were Mr Zisis Antoniadis, Honorary Consul of Greece in the region, and many faithful from Armidale, Sydney and Canberra.
The Parish of Saint Dionysios thanked Bishop Christophoros for his blessed visit and for celebrating the Divine Liturgy. The Parish also asked him to convey to Archbishop Makarios its gratitude for His Eminence’s support to date of the missionary work being undertaken in the region, together with its request that he continue to support the Parish through his prayers and assistance.
