This morning Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Canberra, visited the Jewish Synagogue and Jewish Museum in Canberra upon the invitation of the Ambassador of Israel Mr. Amir Maimon.
Mr. Amir Maimon provided the Bishop a tour of the premises and outlined to him the traditions of Judaism.
Following the tour, light refreshments were offered.
The Bishop conveyed the love and respect of Archbishop Makarios of Australia and extended an invitation to the Ambassador to visit Sydney and meet with the Archbishop.
Moreover, he thanked the Ambassador for his kind invitation.
Accompanying the Bishop was Parish Priest of St Nicholas in Canberra, Very Reverend Petros Kipouros, the President of the Parish and Community of St Nicholas Mr. Loukadellis and Mr. Satsias from the Hellenic Club.
