With the blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane convened a meeting of the State Philoptohos of Queensland.
It was the first meeting of the State Philoptochos since Bishop Bartholomew was elected as the first Bishop of Brisbane.
Bishop Bartholomew from the outset conveyed the love and blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia and informed the Philoptochos of the upcoming visit of His Eminence to Queensland in December coinciding with the State Youth Conference.
Bishop Bartholomew informed the ladies of the Apostolic Visit of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Australia this week; a visit which is of great significance and joy for the fifth continent.
Administration matters and future initiatives were then discussed with the group, while Bishop Bartholomew then thanked the ladies on behalf of Bishop for not only their presence but for all their efforts in the service of the Church.
A commemorative photo was then taken noting that due to circumstances beyond ones control not all ladies were able to attend in person however they attended the meeting via zoom.
