The Archepiscopal Vicar of Canberra, Archimandrite Prochoros Anastasiadis, had a meeting with the Ambassador of Greece to Australia, George Papakostas, on Monday, March 29 as reported by vema.com.au.
Fr. Prochoros went to the Greek Embassy in Canberra accompanied by the Head of the Parish of Saint Nicholas, Fr. Petros Kipouros.
During the meeting, Fr. Prochoros first conveyed to the Greek ambassador the love and blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia while stressing the importance of strengthening the ties of cooperation to serve the needs of the Greek Diaspora.
In addition, he invited the Greek ambassador to visit Tasmania and meet the Greek community of the Australian island state.
Papakostas thanked Fr. Prohoros for the visit and asked him to convey his warm wishes to Archbishop Makarios.
