As another school year finishes for our youth and young adults across Canada, and as we look forward to the celebration of many feasts throughout the summer weeks, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada is offering an innovative resource to help keep the youth – and all people – close to Christ and His Church.
At the directive of His Eminence Archbishop Sotirios, the Archdiocese’s Internet and Social Media Ministries developed the below Spiritual Nourishment “QR Poster” that provides convenient and easily downloadable PDF booklets to six spiritual resources.
1. Orthodox Catechism: Basic Teachings of the Orthodox Faith by Archbishop Sotirios
2. I’m Orthodox: What Does That Mean? 30 Questions and Answers: A Concise and Practical Guidebook
3. Prayer Book (Greek and English)
4. The Sunday Gospels: Fifty-Two Short Inspirational Lessons For A Christian Life
5. The Divine Liturgy by St. John Chrysostom
6. Journey to Pascha Booklet (40 Day Challenge and Sunday Bible Reading)
The Archdiocese has ordered 50,000 copies be printed and distributed to every parish community across the country so that all faithful, especially our youth and young adults, can have the poster with them and share copies with their family and friends. Work is underway so they can be ready for distribution by the end of the month, in advance of the Great Feasts of the Transfiguration of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Dormition of the Most-Holy Theotokos.
