The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain announced the establishment of a new monthly series for all adult ages called, Archdiocesan Lates.
This new initiative will focus on and review with an Orthodox lens a particular publication/film through a stimulating presentation by the Archbishop of Thyateira followed by a thought-provoking discussion by pertinent Orthodox academicians.
At the inaugural Archdiocesan Lates, Archbishop Nikitas will review the book, “Bad Religion” written by Ross Douthat. Dr. George Tsourous and Dr. Billy Christmas, King’s College London, will contextualize the discussion reflecting on commonalities with, and the experience within, the United Kingdom.
A buffet-style dinner and non-alcoholic beverages will be offered as they are included in the ticket price.
The first Archdiocesan Lates will be generously subsidized by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain, and graciously hosted at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Divine Wisdom in Bayswater, W2 4LQ.
