Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira travelled to the communities of the Archdiocese in Scotland on April 12-15, 2021.
Following his arrival into Glasgow, Archbishop Nikitas presided over the service of the Great Compline at the Greek Orthodox Community of St Luke the Evangelist.
The next day Archbishop Nikitas visited the community of St Nicholas in Dunblane, followed by the community of St Andrew in Edinburgh, where he presided at the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts.
The Archbishop was warmly welcomed and accompanied by Bishop Raphael of Ilion throughout his travels in Scotland, as well as the reverend clergy and the esteemed archons and lay leaders of the communities.
In each of the communities, Archbishop Nikitas dedicated particular time to meeting and dialoguing with the youth, the young families and congregants of the parishes.
