In the premises of the Community of St. Panteleimon at Harrow, NW London, on Tuesday, October 20, an interesting meeting took place.
Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain welcomed in the Community the Group for Evangelization of the Inter-Christian Organization “Churches Together” in England. The Archbishop was accompanied by the Protosyncellus of the Holy Archdiocese Archim. Nikodimos Anagnostopoulos and Archim. Nifonas Tsimalis.
The members of the Group for Evangelization (not all attended due to the restrictions imposed for the pandemic) visited the Holy Temple of St. Panteleimon and St. Paraskevi and attended the service, which was performed in the Temple, officiated by the Archbishop. After the Service, the Commissioner of the Temple, Protopresbyter Anastasios D. Salapatas, who represented the Holy Archdiocese to this Committee, welcomed everyone and offered a short tour of the Holy Temple. Then Benjamin Aldous (Principal Officer for Mission and Evangelism – Churches Together in England) greeted and the Archbishop spoke with special inspiration and brilliance about the Orthodox Faith and Tradition.
After that, everyone was transferred to the Community Hall, where warm hospitality was offered, which was curated by the President of the Community Panagiotis Prokopiou and his wife Evgenia, as well as the President of the Auxiliary Brotherhood of Ladies Alexandra Konstantinou with her husband Sotiris. At the end of the meal, the Archbishop of Thyateira & Great Britain spoke with dynamism, sincerity and realism about his vision, regarding the Evangelism and the Catechism of the Orthodox Christians of the Holy Archdiocese of Thyateira & Great Britain.
