Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain accompanied by Archimandrite Nephon Tsimalis, Chancellor, visited on Friday, March 3, 2023, New Scotland Yard to attend the Orthodox Easter Celebration organized by the Metropolitan Police Service Greek and Cypriot Association in cooperation with other Orthodox Police Associations.
During the celebration, Archbishop Nikitas offered a reflection on Holy and Great Lent, Fasting Practices, and Paschal Celebrations.
Following the discussion, the Archbishop blessed the Lenten buffet and had the opportunity to meet and greet, more personally, those in attendance. Lenten Hymns were chanted, as those in attendance enjoyed their meal, by the Archdiocesan School of Byzantine Music directed by Fr. Joseph Paliouras.
