On the morning of Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Holy Golgotha, Archbishop Theophanes of Gerash, ordained the cantor Eustathios Tsoumanis as a deacon, to serve as a married deacon, and thereafter as a married priest. He will serve in various ministries of the Patriarchate.
During his ordination, the Holy Sepulchre Fathers, his wife Anastasia, nuns of the Patriarchate, and members of the Church of Jerusalem proclaimed the words “Axios” (worthy).
After the ordination, the Episcopal entourage of the ordination went to the Patriarchate and was received by His Beatitude, our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos.
