Metropolitan Shio (Mujiri), Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne and Metropolitan of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, hosted Archbishop Elia of Helsinki and All Finland, Primate of the Autonomous Orthodox Church of Finland, at the Patriarchate of Georgia.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and brotherly dialogue. Both hierarchs discussed issues concerning the life of their respective Churches, the importance of inter-Orthodox cooperation, and the promotion of unity and understanding among Orthodox believers worldwide.
Archbishop Elia expressed gratitude for the warm reception and conveyed greetings from the clergy and faithful of the Finnish Orthodox Church. Metropolitan Shio, in turn, emphasized the value of fraternal relations between the Churches of Georgia and Finland, built upon shared faith and spiritual heritage.
