Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus attended the Christmas music event of the School of Byzantine Music. The Archbishop welcomed the event, which was organised by him, and expressed his delight that so many young people serve the Church of Cyprus.
“We must open our hearts and let God act, as He knows. It is not enough to say that Christ was born, suffered and raised Himself. All that must be a part of our everyday life. It is up to us. We have to work on experiencing all these things. And if we fail, we are to blame, not God! He showed us the way. If we will walk away from Christ, we will not be able to enter the Kingdom of God. If we want to follow Him, then we will succeed.”
At the end of his speech, he assured that one of his primary concerns was the financial assistance in favour of the school, so that the effort was supported and that it became a tradition for the province of Pafos. Bishop Georgios of Pafos, Bishop Leontios of Kytros, the Head of the Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery, many priests and many people from all over the province attended the event.
