Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus returned to the Holy Archdiocese on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 14, 2020, after a short stay in Athens.
It should be noted that the Archbishop underwent neurosurgery to expand the spinal canal at the White Cross Clinic in Athens, on Saturday, October 10. The operation was performed by the Director of the Neurosurgery Clinic – Director of the Department for Spinal Pathology, Dr. Theologos Theologou. On the afternoon of Monday, October 12, 2020, he was discharged from the clinic.
In an announcement of the Church of Cyprus, the Archbishop is feeling very well. His walking condition is considered very satisfactory by his physician. He has been working with his close associates since last night. The cooperation continued this morning. He then had the opportunity to inspect the completion works of the construction of the new Cathedral of the Apostle Barnabas in the courtyard of the Holy Archdiocese.
