The Archbishop of Cyprus was prayerfully attending in the altar at the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Tala, Paphos, one day before the Feast of the Epiphany.
The Archbishop, referring to today’s Gospel, pointed out, “One who is modest can find and follow God’s path but one who is selfish cannot. Jesus Christ needs humble and repentant people whose hearts are open to hearing the words of the Gospel. A down-to-earth person knows how to behave in society. On the contrary, a person, who is superficial and thinks he knows everything, does not know how to behave properly in society, unless he repents.”
He added, “Our first concern is humility and love for our brothers. This is the only way we can find Christ. I wish that we will be all able to ‘find’ humility, as John the Forerunner did so that we can overcome all the difficulties in life and achieve our purpose, that is following God’s path.”
