Archbishop Georgios of Cyprus expressed his belief that the Ecumenical Patriarchate will reach a decision by the end of September regarding the appeal of former Metropolitan of Paphos, Tychikos.
Speaking from the Holy Monastery of Trooditissa, Archbishop Georgios noted that he does not wish to preempt the decisions of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
At the same time, he voiced confidence that the Patriarchate will uphold the ruling of the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus, which defrocked Metropolitan Tychikos from the Metropolis of Paphos.
