Ten tons of flour and ten tons of bulgur wheat were given today by a delegation of the Pancyprian Organisation of Cereal Producers to Archbishop Chrysostmos of Cyprus for the needs of our fellow human beings in need.
The lorries of the donor companies arrived in the morning, which made a donation to the Archdiocese of Cyprus. Representatives of various organisations received the flour and bulgur wheat.
At the same time, representatives of the parishes of the Holy Archdiocese of Cyprus also received a donation which is to be distributed to the parishioners in need.
Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus thanked the wheat producers and stressed that it was a kind gesture expressing genuine and practical love for our fellow human beings in need. He added that the Church of Cyprus would continue to be by the side of the suffering.
“The Church has been making offerings and expressing love to all our brothers and sisters, especially during these days,” said the Archbishop, calling on citizens with the means to do so to support their fellow citizens.
