Archbishop Apostolos of Canada announces the appointment of two new professors to the Patriarchal Toronto Orthodox Theological Academy, as part of the continued strengthening of its academic and educational mission.
Rev. Fr. Georgios Kolios has been appointed Professor of Contemporary and Biblical Greek Language, while Rev. Fr. Apostolos Golias has been appointed Professor of Byzantine Music.
The two new professors will contribute their knowledge and experience to the academic and spiritual formation of the Academy’s students, with particular emphasis on the preparation of future clergy for service to the Church.
On the occasion of these appointments, His Eminence Archbishop Apostolos of Canada stated:
“Theological education and the proper preparation of future clergy are a particular concern of our Church. I warmly welcome Fr. Georgios Kolios and Fr. Apostolos Golias to the academic family of our Theological Academy, and I pray that their service will bear abundant fruit for the benefit of our students and the Church.”
His Eminence wished both professors every blessing and strength in their new responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of the continued strengthening of the Patriarchal Toronto Orthodox Theological Academy and its sacred mission of preparing future clergy for service to the Church in Canada.
