A heartfelt fraternal meeting took place between Archbishop Makarios of Australia and Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and Southern Madagascar at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese in Sydney.
The two hierarchs discussed current affairs, focusing particularly on matters concerning the course of Orthodoxy. Special reference was made to the missionary work carried out by the Second-Throne Patriarchate of Alexandria in the impoverished island nation of Madagascar.
Archbishop Makarios warmly congratulated the missionary bishop for his God-pleasing ministry, his spirit of self-sacrifice in the face of challenging conditions, and his unwavering dedication to the Church.
He also wished Bishop Prodromos good health and strength to continue his blessed work uninterrupted and assured him of the full support of the Orthodox Church in Australia and its Christ-loving faithful.
The meeting concluded with the exchange of heartfelt Paschal greetings.
