Archbishop of Australia meets with Archdiocesan Staff ahead of Christmas

On Monday, December 23, Archbishop Makarios of Australia warmly welcomed the administrative staff of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia to his office in Sydney. This gathering, which has become an annual tradition during the days leading up to Christmas and the New Year, provided a heartfelt and familial atmosphere for the Archbishop to meet with his team.

In the presence of Bishop Christodoulos of Magnesia, Secretary of the Holy Eparchial Synod, and the Archimandrite Christophoros Krikellis, Chief Secretary of the Holy Archdiocese, Archbishop Makarios extended his sincere gratitude to all staff members for their invaluable contributions to the multifaceted work of the local Church. He particularly acknowledged their exceptional efforts in supporting the centennial celebrations of the Archdiocese this year, which required extraordinary dedication. As a token of his appreciation, the Archbishop presented each staff member with a gift, underscoring his respect and gratitude for their unwavering commitment to the Archdiocese’s mission.

Bishop Christodoulos and Archimandrite Christophoros also expressed their heartfelt thanks to the staff, highlighting the harmonious and productive collaboration that defines their shared efforts.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of Christmas greetings, during which Archbishop Makarios offered his paternal blessings. He prayed for the health and well-being of the staff and emphasized the importance of unity and mutual support among those who uphold the vital work of the Church in Australia.
