“Joy is an internal spiritual state. It is not guaranteed by the requirements set by people,” emphasizes Archbishop Makarios of Australia in a message shared on Instagram.
“Joy is an experience which comes from the heart,” he continues, highlighting that love and kindness are the two essential requirements for experiencing it. He further notes,”the punishment of one who is evil and lacking empathy is the inability to experience true joy.”
The Archbishop concludes with an exhortation to avoid harboring negative and evil thoughts, encouraging everyone to strive to become better individuals.
