The Archdiocese of Australia rejects allegations concerning the coronavirus-related health condition of Archbishop Makarios as “unsubstantiated” and “untrue.”
In a statement, the Archdiocese said that Archbishop Makarios’ pastoral tour of the State of Victoria was interrupted last Friday due to a feeling of discomfort on the first day after his arrival in Melbourne related to accumulated fatigue.
Due to this incident, he had to return to Sydney.
As of today, Tuesday, December 1, the Archbishop has returned to his duties at the Holy Archdiocese and a new date will soon be announced for the resumption of his canceled tour in Victoria.
