Thousands of food parcels for the festive table and toys are sent these days to families in need after the cooperation of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens with the Municipality of Athens.
In the morning, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece visited the facilities of the Municipality of Athens, where food parcels and basic necessities are prepared for families in need.
The Archbishop was accompanied by the General Director of the Charitable Organization “Apostoli”, Kostis Dimtsas and were welcomed by the Mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis, who guided them to the parcel preparation areas.
The Archbishop referred to the value of cooperation, emphasizing that “all this is the fruit of cooperation. Once again we joined our forces.” He wished us to spend Christmas as comfortable as possible and stressed that the coming days will be more difficult, “that is why our cooperation must be greater and more coordinated, so that no strength is lost”. The Archbishop also thanked the Mayor and his associates, as well as Dimtsas and the associates of the Archdiocese.
