The inauguration of the Dekagro company’s booth at the Agrotica 2026 exhibition in Thessaloniki took place in the presence of Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens, six Metropolitans, and the owner of Dekagro, Lavrentis Lavrentiadis.
The blessing service was performed by Metropolitan Gabriel of Nea Ionia, while those present included Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki, Metropolitan Maximos of Ioannina, Metropolitan Ioustinos of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, Metropolitan Barnabas of Neapolis, Metropolitan Eireneos of Florina, and Metropolitan Stephanos of Philippi, as well as the Protosyncellus of the Metropolis of Nea Ionia, Fr. Epifanios, and the General Archieratical Commissioner, Fr. Emmanouil Papamikroulis.
Also attending the blessing were MP for Arta Giorgos Georgantas, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Stavros Kalafatis, Deputy Minister of Development Dimitris Vartzopoulos, Deputy Minister of Health and MP for Phthiotis Giannis Oikonomou, MEP Nikolas Farantouris, Deputy Minister of the Interior (Macedonia–Thrace) Kostas Gioulekas, and MP for Thessaloniki A’ Stratos Simopoulos.
Following the blessing service, Metropolitan Gabriel of Nea Ionia expressed his thanks to Metropolitan Philotheos of Thessaloniki for granting permission for the inauguration to take place. He also conveyed the good wishes of all the Hierarchs, as well as of the Archbishop, and their love and appreciation for Lavrentiadis.
“We wholeheartedly wish you good health, and that you may continue the work you have been carrying out for decades, which—with God’s help—will also be continued by your spiritual children. May you always feel that we will all stand by you in every new beginning,” the Metropolitan of Nea Ionia emphasized.
For his part, Lavrentiadis, owner of Dekagro, stated that it was a great honor that the Archbishop and the Hierarchs were present at the inauguration.
“It is an honor for us that you stand beside us and bless our work, that you support us and show us your love. I thank you all very much; we love you dearly,” he said.
He then addressed the Dekagro staff, stating: “You are the family of Dekagro. Together we move forward; we are fighters in life. I love you all with all my heart.”
