Archbishop Elpidophoros of America was officially welcomed on May 27, 2026, at the Administration of Mount Athos by the Civil Administrator of Mount Athos, Alkiviadis Stefanis.
The Archbishop of America is currently visiting the Athonite State with the blessings of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
In a social media post, Alkiviadis Stefanis described the Archbishop’s presence as “an honor and a blessing,” emphasizing that the visit strengthens the spiritual bonds of Orthodoxy.
He also referred to Archbishop Elpidophoros’ enduring contribution to the unity and outreach of Orthodoxy, noting that through his ministry he conveys “the message of faith, love, and our tradition to Hellenism and the Orthodox Greek diaspora in America.”
