During the second day of the Metropolis of Atlanta’s 2025 Clergy-Laity Assembly & Philoptochos Conference, attendees participated in Philoptochos general sessions, meetings for regional vicars and the Sisterhood of Presvyteres, as well as the event’s Grand Banquet.
In his remarks at the banquet, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America greeted the clergy and parishioners, saying, “The Metropolis Family is surely a household of love and respect, and is now headed by a loving spiritual father, your Metropolitan, His Eminence Sevastianos.I am so proud of him and of all of you. I rejoice to be in your company and in your presence, for you are an example to all Orthodox Christians of what it means to fulfill the Lord’s commandment to “love one another,” ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους.”
