Yesterday, December 29, 2024, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America visited New Britain, Connecticut, where he presided over the Divine Liturgy at St, George Greek Orthodox Church alongside the parish’s Proistamenos, Archimandrite Spyridon Chatzis.
In his homily for the Sunday after Nativity, Archbishop Elpidophoros spoke of the Holy Family’s flight into Egypt, which reminds us that “just as God protected and guided the Holy Family with His Holy Angels, He is always with us, guiding and protecting us through our own journeys.”
After the liturgy, Fr. Spyridon honored members of the parish for their contribution to the community and the Church more broadly.
