This morning, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America met with young adults from the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and then shot the first basket at the Cathedral’s annual basketball tournament.
It is reminded that Archbishop Elpidophoros of America spoke at the graduation of the Annunciation Orthodox School and then greeted its trustees.
In his speech, on the fiftieth anniversary of the Annunciation Orthodox School, the Archbishop praised the school as “an exemplary institution of the Greek Orthodox Church in America.”
The Archbishop congratulated all the graduates, their families who supported them, noting that “the true success of a human being is in your capacity for empathy, for compassion, for seeing the other person’s perspective, for hope, for faith and for love.”
The Archbishop addressed the young graduates urging them to make sure that they rise in their spiritual aspirations and to make sure that compassion and love for others rise in their hearts, too.
