Yesterday, on October 16, 2024, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America held a meeting with Dr. Michael G. Bassous, representing the Bible Society based in Lebanon, at the headquarters of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. The discussion underscored the ongoing collaboration between religious institutions and organizations dedicated to the distribution and promotion of the Holy Scriptures.
Also present at the meeting were prominent members of the American Bible Society’s board, along with Mrs. Elaine Allen, Treasurer of the Archdiocese, and Mr. Theo Nicolakis, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Archdiocese. The gathering reflected a shared commitment to the spiritual nourishment of Orthodox Christians and broader communities through the promotion of biblical literacy and access.
