On the occasion of the National Anniversary of March 25, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America referred to the sacrifice of the heroes of 1821, calling the faithful to renew their commitment to the liberty granted by God.
As he noted, “on this day, when we remember the sacrifice of the Immortal Heroes of 1821, let us rededicate our lives to the liberty that our Lord grants us by His grace.”
The Archbishop further emphasized that the sacrifice of Christ upon the Precious and Life-giving Cross is reflected in the struggles of those who fought against tyranny, inspiring each generation to embrace this legacy with profound gratitude.
