On Monday, March 3rd, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America led the Hellenic College Holy Cross campus’s Clean Monday Retreat.
The day started with Orthros in the Chapel, followed by an Archpastoral Address from Archbishop Elpidophoros. Students then met with spiritual mentors, received confession, and spent time in personal prayer.
After brunch in Condakes Refectory, the community gathered for the Holy Unction service, presided by Archbishop Elpidophoros and including the participation of Bishop Joachim of Amissos, Bishop Anthony of Synada, and other campus clergy. In the afternoon, seminarians participated in a discussion and Q&A session with Archbishop Elpidophoros on maintaining spiritual growth in ordained ministry.
The retreat continued with Vespers, followed by dinner. The day concluded with Great Compline, setting a prayerful tone for the Lenten journey ahead.
