On May 16, 2025, the Hellenic College Holy Cross community gathered in joy and reverence for the services of Great Vespers and Stavrophoria, where the bestowal of graduate crosses to the Class of 2025 took place.
Archbishop Elpidophoros of America presided over the service and bestowed the crosses upon each graduate, offering words of encouragement and blessing as they prepare to enter the next chapter of their lives and ministries:
“We are not above our Master and Lord. Neither are we – the ones sent on a mission – greater than the One Who sends us. If you have come to this School, and graduated from it, you have a mission to fulfill, a purpose to complete. Such a mission may take a lifetime or a moment in time, but by your relationship to the Creator Who fashioned you, you will know it.”
The Archbishop is in Boston, Massachusetts, from Wednesday, May 14 through Saturday, May 17 in honor of Hellenic College/Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology’s Commencement.
