Yesterday, June 16, 2025, clergy and parishioners gathered for the Metropolis of Denver’s 2025 Clergy-Laity Assembly in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
Hosted by St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, delegates traveled from across the Metropolis’s fourteen states. The Metropolis Philoptochos Biennial Convention and the Church Music Federation Convention took place concurrently, with participants benefitting from conversations about their organizations’ joint work in their parishes.
Archbishop Elpidophoros of America participated in the assembly, addressing the attendees in an Archpastoral Exhortation: “Whether you feel more like distant cousins with other Christians around the country and the world, or are the closest of siblings, know this: we are One Family in the Lord. And we are called to live as that Family, expressing our love for one another, being generous with our time and resources, and ultimately being protective of and concerned for their welfare.”
