Archbishop Elpidophoros of America arrived at Saint Nicholas Ranch and Retreat Center in Dunlap, CA on Saturday, May 3, 2025 in preparation for the Clergy-Laity Assembly of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco. Archbishop Elpidophoros was greeted by Metropolitan Gerasimos and Bishop Ioannis of Phocaea.
Dinner was offered by the sisters of the Monastery of the Theotokos the Life-Giving Spring who extended warm hospitality and received the blessing of His Eminence upon his arrival. Archbishop Elpidophoros admired the beautiful iconography the sisters recently completed in the Katholikon.
On Sunday, the Archbishop celebrated the Divine Liturgy and will convene with the Metropolis Council later in the day.
