On July 7, 2025, Archbishop Ioannis of Albania visited the first summer camp session for girls aged 10–13, held at the revered Monastery of Saint John Vladimir near Elbasan.
The Archbishop was warmly welcomed by the camp leaders, who briefed him on the structure and activities of the program. During his visit, the Archbishop took the opportunity to engage in a heartfelt spiritual conversation with the young campers, encouraging them to deepen their faith and cultivate strong values through their shared experiences.
This initiative is part of a broader program of the Orthodox Church of Albania, under the Archbishop’s blessing, which includes upcoming camps for teenagers (both girls and boys) as well as for young adults over 18.
The Church’s summer camps aim to create safe, nurturing environments where participants can grow spiritually, build lasting friendships, and live out the values of Orthodox Christian life through prayer, play, and community.
