Archbishop Nikitas expressed in a message his gratitude to those who responded to the call of the Archdiocese of Thyateira for supporting those in need.
As he points out, “the Archdiocese and the people of God, who are being served, express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to those who have thus far responded to the appeal.
With gratitude and love,
Archbishop Nikitas”
It is recalled that Archbishop Nikitas had communicated with an announcement the Archdiocese’s will to offer the love of the Church.
In particular, “he urges believers to contact their local parish for additional information on how to follow the services, which, although churches remain closed for public worship, can still be accessed through various media.
He also invites those in need of psychological support and assistance to contact their respective parish priest as certified counselors are ready to offer their assistance to community members needing this support.
Also, since there are community members who are facing serious financial issues, including students who cannot travel home, the Archdiocese is accepting monetary support as well as non-perishable food items to assist those in need, so they may celebrate Easter too.”
