On Sunday, 10 November 2019, Archbishop Nikitas attended the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, where he represented the nation’s Orthodox Christians.
A two-minute silence was observed at 11 am.
Prince Charles laid a wreath at the Cenotaph, on behalf of Her Majesty, the Queen, who watched the service from a nearby balcony.
Political and religious leaders were in attendance, as well as hundreds of war veterans.
