On Friday, June 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM, Archbishop Ioannis of Tirana, Durres, and all Albania arrived at the International Airport in Constantinople, accompanied by the official delegation of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.
At the airport, Archbishop Ioannis and his delegation were warmly received with honors by Metropolitan Maximos of Silivri and Deacon Oikoumenios, Undersecretary of the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Also present was Mr. Armand Shandro, the Consul General of the Republic of Albania in Constantinople, who expressed the appreciation and support of the Albanian diplomatic mission for this important ecclesiastical visit.
Following their arrival, the delegation proceeded to and was accommodated at the Grand Hyatt hotel, where they will stay during the official visit.
