President of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis met Archbishop Elpidophoros of America in New York.
Archbishop Elpidophoros said that he welcomed the president of Cyprus to the seat of the Archdiocese of America.
Moreover, he thanked Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus for his “significant financial support in the renovation of the Halki seminary when I was Metropolitan of Bursa.”
Archbishop Elpidophoros also said, “As Hierarch of the Ecumenical Throne in charge of the shepherding of the US Orthodox, I pray to see Cyprus united, where all the citizens will live together in harmony and will enjoy the benefits of peace, fraternity, and prosperity.”
