Archbishop Elpidophoros of America had meetings with officials of the Catholic University of America while heading this year’s Pre-Lenten Retreat for the Direct Archdiocesan District Clergy Syndesmos, held at the University’s Washington Retreat House, Feb. 3-4, 2020.
Archbishop Elpidophoros had a cordial meeting with the President of the Catholic University of America, John Garvey, on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020.
Today, the Dean of the School of Theology and Religious Studies, Mark Morozowich, and professors Stefanos Alexopoulos, Paul McPartlan, and Robin Darling Young, all took part in a meeting and apprised the Archbishop about the new Institute for Eastern Christianity and the School of Theology and Religious Studies of The Catholic University of America. They discussed Orthodox-Catholic relations and possible opportunities for cooperation between their school and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, of Brookline, Mass.
Finally, the Dean of the School of Theology Fr. Mark Morozowich and Provost Aaron Dominguez hosted a luncheon for the Archbishop.
