Archbishop Elpidophoros of America welcomed the Mayor of Tilos, Ms. Maria Kamma, to the Archdiocese, congratulating her on the recent European Enterprise Promotion Award for the island’s ‘Just Go Zero Tilos’ initiative, which achieved a 100% diversion of waste from landfills and a 93% recycling rate. He also praised her exemplary efforts in integrating refugees into the community.
Mayor Kamma will be among the honored guests at the upcoming Greek Independence Day parade in New York on Sunday, March 27.
