Apostle Matthias, the apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas and who spread the Gospel in Africa, was honored in the Diocese of Bukomba, Tanzania, at the Parish bearing his name in Nshamba, Muleba.
On Saturday, August 10, the Bishop of Bukomba and Western Tanzania visited Nshamba, where he celebrated the Divine Liturgy in a makeshift church erected by the faithful. The church was built with the dedicated efforts of Fr. Eleftherios, the vicar, along with elders Fr. Iakovos and Fr. Ioannis, and Deacon Grigorios.
