On May 12, 2025, the annual clergy conference of the Warsaw-Bielsko Diocese of the Polish Orthodox Church was held in the town of Narew. The gathering began with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at the local church, presided over by Archbishop Grzegorz of Bielsko, with the concelebration of Bishop Paweł of Hajnówka, Bishop Warsonofiusz of Siemiatycze, and clergy from across the diocese. The liturgical chants were performed by the diocesan clergy choir under the direction of Protodeacon Marek Maciuka.
The plenary session of the conference, focused on the theme: “Izwiestije Uczitielnoje and Its Instruction for Priests in the Context of the Church’s Current State,” was formally opened by Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland. Archbishop Grzegorz delivered the keynote address, while supplementary presentations were given by Mitred Priest Leoncjusz Tofiluk and Protopresbyter Andrzej Opolski.
Following the presentations, the reporting session of the conference commenced. Metropolitan Sawa provided a comprehensive report on the life and activities of the Warsaw-Bielsko Diocese in 2024. Additional reports were presented on the functioning of parishes within each deanery, financial status, data protection measures, the social fund, candle inventory management, charitable and pastoral activities, religious education, and youth ministry.
The conference concluded with an open discussion and a session for free remarks and proposals, fostering dialogue and planning for the continued pastoral mission of the diocese.
