Sophia Zavraki, a loyal member of the Community of Neochorion on the Bosphorus, has passed away. Her funeral is to be held today, 9 August 2024, at 11 am local time, at the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas of Neochorion. Her burial will follow in the Community Cemetery of Saint Haralambos.
A resolution was issued by the Communities of ‘Agios Nikolaos’ and ‘Panagia Koumariotissa’ in Neochorion, whose members were deeply moved to learn of the falling asleep of the late Sophia Zavraki, a valued benefactor of the two Communities.
Following this, the two Community Boards met for an emergency meeting and after expressing their grief and respect for the memory of the late Sophia Zavraki, decided: to attend the funeral service, to place a wreath on her coffin, to offer refreshments after the burial service in her memory, to allocate a sum of money in her memory for charitable purposes and to write her name on the votive column of donors of the Community.
