Almost all members of the Holy Synod will get the COVID-19 vaccine in consultation with their personal physician.
The first to show eagerness to get the vaccine were Archbishop Chrysostomos, Metropolitans Nikiforos of Kykkos, Georgios of Paphos and Isaias of Tamassos.
As reported by philenews.com, during the last meeting of the Holy Synod, professors were asked regarding the vaccine and the reactions of almost all of them referred to the acceptance of the vaccine as a means of fighting the pandemic.
After all, the Holy Synod advised the faithful to be vaccinated. The disagreement of Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou was taken for granted from the beginning.
The three scientists (Professor of Molecular Biology Dr. Petros Karagiannis, Dr. Elpidophoros Sotiriadis, Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health and Dr. George Krasias, Assistant Professor of Molecular Medicine) were asked what the ramifications of the issue of conspiracy theories were and whether it was possible to keep tracking of citizens or any mutation.
Although some of the members of the Holy Synod do not adopt such theories, they have posed various questions to be informed by the experts and then spread these answers to the faithful.
