The procession of the Epitaphios in the Archdiocese of Tirana, as well as in the Metropolises of Korçë, Gjirokastër, Berat, Fier, and Elbasan, filled the streets of cities and villages with priests and faithful following the Lord in His Passion, sending a powerful message of Orthodoxy.
Archbishop Ioannis of Albania presided over the Epitaphios service at the Resurrection Cathedral in Tirana, joined by Metropolitan Nathanael of Amantia, Bishop Anastasios of Krujë, and members of the clergy.
The Archbishop also led the solemn procession through the streets of Tirana. Simultaneously, Metropolitan Nikolaos led the procession in Fier, Metropolitan Antonios in Elbasan, and Metropolitan Astios in Berat.
Children decorated Easter candles
Children from Orthodox families in Elbasan decorated Easter candles, taking an active role in the celebration of Easter while also learning about the history and symbolism of the candle.
Through this hands-on experience, they were meaningfully prepared to participate in the great feast of Orthodoxy.
